I have no great, wise statement to give you, instead I have an honest heartfelt excuse to express myself thru paint. I enjoy painting . I find it's expressive nature the easiest way to convey my ideas and connect with others. I love what I do and I like sharing it. Every opinion is different, and I have as of yet, not been able to get two people to agree on a sketch before I begin a job. Oh well. I believe providing artwork to all interrested parties is the focus of my art. I admire artists like John Singer Sargent, Carravaggio, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Andrew Wyeth, Pieter Breugel, Claude Monet, Jacques Louise David and so on. I'd like to reach a point in my art where I can look at a few completed pieces and say "I gave it my all and I think I'd buy a copy of that." I can confidently say I'm not there yet, not by a long shot. I think the drive for the next great near masterpiece, at least that's how I approach my sketchbook, is what keeps me from breaking all my brushes and eating my paint. I'm not sure which direction I'd go but I'm positive GOD will lead me there. I have no life changing, earth shattering reason other than like every addict, I like what I do and I'd like to continue as long as I'm able.
